Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress most well-known for her role as Bo in the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk, known as an accomplished actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories are of attending the play school and watching her mom perform. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a child. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was moved to Toronto, Canada in November of 1999, to keep acting. Then she moved to Los Angeles California during the next decade. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's workshop located in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married with a civil ceremony the month of December in that same year. They were married in Fredericton on April 10th 2011, they renewed vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk had a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk is well-known for her television role in the role of Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she was awarded a nomination by the Gemini Awards. In 2009, she was cast as the role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale, and revealed this to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she was ready to return to work. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the final season of production. CNN recognized Bo's performance along with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most talked about television couples of all time. E! voted it the top couple on TV of the year 2013.
